Chapin Phillips entered the granite industry in 2018, with the establishment of Bear Creek Mining. Chapin has led Bear Creek Mining into partnerships with reputable granite-industry leaders and businesses that encompass the supply chain for granite monuments. He spearheaded the inception of Savannah Valley Quarries in 2020, which merged numerous companies and a total of seven dimensional-stone granite quarries. Through this merger, he became the manager/operator of quarry operations, securing control of approximately 60% of local granite production. Additionally in 2020, he created Stone Essentials, a monument sales company, that successfully sells domestic and import granite monuments. In 2022, Chapin moved into monument manufacturing with the organization of Elberton Stoneworks, acquiring assets of active local manufacturing companies.

Chapin has twenty-five years of experience in construction and real estate development, prior to Bear Creek Mining. He continues to be a co-owner and vice president of Phillips Brothers Contracting Inc. Phillips Brothers Contracting Inc. is a second-generation contracting company, formed in 1998 by Chapin and his brother Michael, along with their father Harry H.S. Phillips. Chapin attended St. Johns University and University of Georgia. Phillips Brothers Contracting is located in their hometown of Hartwell, Georgia.

Kristen Hronec has worked alongside Chapin since before the inception of Bear Creek Mining and its affiliates. Beginning with working at Phillips Brothers Contracting in 2014 as estimator then residential construction coordinator and purchaser, then moving with him when his focus became granite. Working as Chief Operating Officer to ensure the support of company growth and ensuring his vision throughout these companies.

Prior to the granite industry, Kristen owned multiple small manufacturing and service companies, was Project Manager for a $3 million new school construction project in Los Angeles, helped develop a $3.6 billion program for both new construction and remodeling of schools for Los Angeles Unified School District, and worked alongside Walt Disney Imagineers as part of the construction management team for Disney’s California Adventure park in Anaheim, CA. Kristen received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Valparaiso University.

Connie Wilson brings over 20 years of experience in the Information Technology field, helping various organizations strategically build and improve both their technology and work processes so people work smarter. As an ITIL Expert, she understands business needs and is able to develop and implement overarching strategies for success. Her skills, honed at Stanley Black & Decker and Ferguson Enterprises, provide the supply-chain strategy required to support Providence Management clients. The work she accomplished at Yale will help assist the various people with different levels of technology experience.

In Connie’s spare time she rides Dressage, helps out at her friend’s warmblood breeding barn and enjoys time in her new home here in Georgia where the weather is warm and wonderful compared with both New Jersey, where she grew up, and Connecticut, where she recently move from.
